DIY: No-Sew Cushion Letter by Marilyn

As a full-time hobby, I really enjoy creating things using my hands. The benefit of this is that I get to make fun projects that I can also give away to others. My idea for this fabric covered cushion letter was that I would be able to make it for a friend who just had a baby (for the baby's room). I was hoping the batting around the letter would help give the letter a little cushion and be more of a gentle object to have in the room in case the baby will want to play with it when she is older. I hope you will be inspired to make some fun projects this week that you can give away and make someone's day!

Step 1: Gather your supplies. You will need a paper-maché letter, 1/4 yard of batting, 1/4 yard of fabric. fabric glue, fabric scissors.

Steps 2-3: Dab fabric glue on on one side of your paper-maché letter and press your letter down on the batting. Cut your batting around the letter and continue to add glue and press the batting down around the full letter. Allow this to dry for a few minutes.

Steps 4-6: Repeat steps 2-3 with the fabric over the top of the batting-covered letter and allow to dry for a full day before placing on wood or furniture.
