Flower Crown Summer by Marilyn

Last weekend, we took full advantage of summer and enjoying it to the fullest! Inspired by all of the fun flowers in our home, I decided to make a floral crown that we could snap a few photos in. It was a great way to just let go of some of our recent stresses and enjoy nature (and for me to kind of be a hippy). Sometimes it's nice to simply go outside after a hard week and get away from everything. I found recently when I have headaches that won't go away, that sometimes the best remedy is to go outside and relax (i.e. go for a run or walk). This is also usually my time to meditate and communicate with Him. And afterwards I find that I am rejuvenated and as if the spark has been turned on again inside me.

Think about the simpler things in life and focus on the bigger picture of why we are here. Were we created to be stressing about the small things, burning ourselves out, and affecting others in a negative way? I'm pretty sure that's far from why we're here. If you have been feeling the same way recently and just need a breather, feel free to give yourself one. And consider what really matters in the long run...the small stuff now...or the greater good and the bigger picture.

  3. Love this. I've been practicing making flower crowns for my sister's wedding next weekend! The petals are so fragile! I'm thinking about trying silk flowers so they don't wilt in the hot sun :)

    So cute!
