Guest Post: Gracefully Kensie

Today you can find us doing a guest post over at the wonderful blog: Gracefully Kensie. In the mean time, here's a little bit about Kensie and what inspires her...

Hi guys! I'm Kensie and I've been blogging over on Gracefully Kensie since February of this year. It's important to know that I really don't see myself as having much grace. The point of this blog is to show how I try to accomplish some semblance of organization, balance, and finesse in each aspect of my life so it runs semi-smoothly.  Those aspects include taking care of my family, taking care of my home, and taking care of myself.

Something I'm really passionate about is using homemade cleaning and beauty products. I love that I can create something cheaper, kid-friendly and eco-friendly, that works just as well if not better. On a recent post I did, I used grapefruit and kosher salt to clean my bathtub. Really! So cool, right? Maybe it's just me. Some of my favorite concoctions I've used to replace store-bought products are "No-Poo" alternative to shampoo and my DIY reusable knock-off Clorox Wipes

Another aspect of my blog is fashion, or more specifically trying to rework things I already have in my closet. My husband is in school and we've got 2 kiddos so we're definitely living on a budget right now. Needless to say, I don't have the means to go out and buy every single new item of clothing that's trending at the moment. One of my favorite outfit posts I've done is a 7x7 Remix where I took 7 articles of clothing (including shoes!) and created 7 different outfits. This definitely challenged my creativity, but it was so exciting finding new outfits that I probably wouldn't have paired together otherwise.

Along with stories and pictures of my two beautiful little ginger babies, that's pretty much my blog in a nutshell. Go check out Marilyn's contribution to my Family, Home, and Me series today!
