While we were on vacation visiting Marilyn's family in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, we decided to take a coupe extra days and drive down to Charleston. I had never been before so I was excited to explore the town and add another city to my traveling bucket-list. Also, it gives me an excuse to stop by new coffee shops to sample the local brews. We came across a few local coffee houses, but my favorite was Black Tap Coffee.
It is located in the middle of a neighborhood sandwiched between two Charleston style houses near downtown. With the charming location, the barista on duty was just as friendly and greeted us with the southern hospitality that you hear so much about. I ordered an americano and a cinnamon crunch muffin; and Marilyn sampled one of their blueberry muffins...and all of it was delicious! We also purchased a pound of their Atu Lintang to take back to a friend who was watching Evie (our sweet little yorkie) while we were on vacation.
All in all it was a great find and we will definitely go back next time we are in Charleston.

I have heard so many great things about Charleston lately, but have not yet visited the South. Well, now's my chance: I'll do anything for a good cup of coffee! Thanks for the tip! - Leith
