Kaleb's Birthday Bash: An Outdoor Dinner Party by Marilyn

In case you were wondering what the party looked like where we used our DIY: Party Streamer Wall and DIY: Dinner Place Cards, here it is! Two weekends ago, we celebrated Kaleb's big 28th birthday. We had really been wanting to throw a fun summer party, so we ended up deciding an outdoor dinner party. We were going for more of an intimate setting with a few good friends and good food. As some of you may know, hosting any kind of party can get pricey quick. Luckily with several DIY projects and a few small investments, everything came together nicely. I love planning and decorating parties for our friends and family. So I had a blast coming up with some creative ways to use what we already have and combine it with affordable DIY decorations. I decided on a more neutral theme with hints of color (including blue, yellow, teal, and red).

  1. You two are just perfect! I love everything about this and I love that you are all about saying bucks with a great DIY. Jordan and I had people over this past weekend for my 22nd birthday, but it was no where near as cute as this! Did you buy the blue mason jars or color them with that idea I've seen floating around Pintrest? I've seen it... but I've never tried it.

    1. Hey Margeaux! Thanks for your sweet comment. Throwing a party for your bday is an awesome idea. We'd love to see photos of yours. We actually purchased our blue mason jars. They are remakes of the original vintage blue mason jars created around 1917 as a sign of good times after the war. You can find them at Target, but we just love them because of what they represent.
