Chocolate Chip Cookie Goodness Recipe by Kaleb

We are not sure about you, but all of this chilly weather across the country has got us in the mood for baking and sweets. We recently made this scrumptious chocolate chip cookie recipe and loved it! We wanted to share some of this goodness with you. Try out the recipe and let us know what you think. This makes the perfect treat to take to friends as a random act of kindness.
Ingredients:
1 1/4 c. All-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Baking soda
7 Tbsp. Unsalted butter
1/4 c. Granulated sugar
1/4 c. Brown sugar
1 Large egg
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
1 Milk chocolate bar, chopped

Let's get started.
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees, and whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda in a mediums sized bowl.
 2. Beat together sugars and butter in a mixer on medium speed for about five minutes or until mixture is fluffy.
 3. Add flour mixture in slowly so that it gets mixed evenly and beat until just combined.
4. Once flour is mixed in I like to fold in the chopped chocolate chips by hand until mixed throughly.

5. Using a ice cream scoop and a spoon I like to form 1 1/4 in. dough balls and place on a baking sheet about 2-3 in. apart.

6. Bake until cookies are golden brown around the edges, about 10-12 minutes. Take out of the oven and let cool on a drying rack.

Enjoy! Don't eat all of them at once. :)

  1. Those look dangerous. Like, I'd probably eat way too many and go into a food coma. Worth it, I say!

    1. Yeah, that's about what happened to us the first few days we had them. They are about bite size, so you just keep popping them in your mouth. We work out so we can eat. ;)

  5. What? You're using imitation vanilla? Bah! Go get Madagascar Boufbon pure vanilla extract. Yes, it's expensive, but you won't regret the flavor ;-)

    2. I use to use imitation vanilla until I was given the Madagascar Bourbon pure vanilla extract as a gift and I truly noticed the difference. Now I use it all the time :-)
