DIY: Party Streamer Wall by Marilyn

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to make this fun do-it-yourself streamer wall for a party. Including a streamer wall at your party is a great, affordable way to add lots of decor and color to any room. One of my good friends helped me build this and we had so much fun putting it together. I found my streamers at the local dollar store as well as Target. Target has so many fun color options that work well with most party themes.
Materials you will need include: Multiple rolls of streamers (depending on how long and wide you want to make it; for our wall, I used about 4 mini dollar store rolls and 2 large Target rolls), enough twine string to reach across the space, tape, and scissors
First, cut your twine the length of your space you are wanting to fill and hang on the wall.
Cut your first piece of streamer the lengthwise. Use this streamer as your template to cut the rest of your streamer pieces. Go ahead and cut them all out. It may be helpful to organize them on using a clothing dryer rack or a few chairs.
Begin wrapping the very top of your streamers around the twine and tape into place. It also might be helpful to space out your colors evenly. For ours, we taped all the white streamers on first and overlaid the top by filling in the gaps with the colored streamers.

Now you can enjoy the wall for your party! It makes a great photo backdrop and even a lovely idea for weddings.
