Step 1: Gather your materials together. You will need at least two colors of felt for your flower and a piece of green felt for your leaves. You will also need a pair of fabric scissors, a needle, some neutral thread, and a loose knit sweater with long sleeves.
Step 2: Cut squares out of your felt in various sizes (depending on which colors you want for the center of your flower and moving outwards).
Step 3: Start from the outside and cut your squares into humps continuously until you get to the center of each square.
Step 4: Take the center of the piece of felt you would like in the center and wrap around itself until you have the shape you would like. Sew this little rosette into place and try to stay closer to the bottom so that your string doesn't show when it's finished.
Step 5: Take your second color of felt and wrap around the first rosette, then sew into place.
Step 6: Take a small square of green felt and pinch in between the corners to create little leaves on the outside. Sew this into place. (If you are unable to find a good fit for this, feel free to cut little green leaves out that you can sew into the bottom).

The last step is to take your knit sweater and cut about 3-4" off the sleeve to create your headband. Sew the flower into the headband and you are finished!
