This year one of my good friends from college, Kim, started her own local business called The Hair Boutique. The Hair Boutique is fun place to get your hair cut, styled, or dyed. It's also a great place to get manicures and pedicures. I love the idea of Kim's business because it promotes other stylists to work for themselves. Stylists can rent a booth in The Hair Boutique and set their own hours to do hair. This is a great way for stylists who are just starting out to build up their clientele and work with the customer's schedule and needs. It's also a great way for people wanting to start their own business, but need a place to start and build some independence first.
In college, Kim and I used to both dream of owning our own businesses. I can't believe Kim took the leap of faith so early and decided to start her business. But I couldn't be more excited and inspired by Kim. She has been a wonderful friend to me since moving to Oklahoma and even styled most of my bridesmaid's hair at our wedding. I am so proud of her and her dedication to following her dream. Kim's story of starting her own business has encouraged me and so many others to not let go of our dreams. If any of you are ever in the area of Bethany, Oklahoma, be sure to book an appointment! An added bonus is that there are several antique shops in the same strip as The Hair Boutique so you can find some one-of-a-kind treasures while you are in the area.
The Hair Boutique also utilizes a booth and special area to feature local crafters. You can purchase unique jewelry, furniture, and so many other fun things while you wait. The photo above is for one of the current designers: Anna Mack designs.

Molly is the shop beagle. She will keep you company and makes a great guard dog.
One of my favorite parts about the salon is the amazing original ceilings. When Kim purchased the space, she decided to repaint the ceilings in this lovely metallic silver color, and it really brings so much light into the space and pulls it together perfectly. Take a visit and see them!
