This smoothie is a great way to start a lazy Sunday morning or any other morning. Enjoy!
What You'll Need:
1 c. - Blueberries
2 c. - Pineapple chunks
2 - Bananas(frozen if you want a thicker smoothie)
3 - Oranges
1/4 c. - Coconut Oil
1 tsp. - Sea Salt
Directions:
Place pineapple chunks, bananas, oranges, coconut oil, and sea salt in a VitaMix or blender and blend until smooth. Fill glass half way full with this mixture, and with the remaining mixture add blueberries and blend until smooth. Pour the remaining mixture on top of the first. Make sure to pour slowly or pour over a spoon so the two parts do not mix. This will give you a good separation between the two layers and make for a perfect presentation. For a little extra pizzaz garnish with a chunk of pineapple.

It is truly delicious and satisfying. Try it out or try switching out for some of your favorite fruits for a different flavor!
DeleteYummy! My mom has been telling me I need to get a Ninja (because she has one and loves it) I'm starting to get excited about all the things I can do with it!! :)
ReplyDeleteWe really love our Vitamix. However we're sure a Ninja would be a great alternative. Juicing really does improve your health and we find that we just feel better about ourselves when we're doing it!
DeleteDelish! I love fruit smoothies -- I never thought about adding Coconut oil though! Interesting, I'll have to try that next time. :) (really like the layering of the drink!)
ReplyDeleteCoconut oil can actually benefit your health in many ways. Not only does it add a more tropical flavor, it's also meeting your bodies needs. Try it out and let us know how you like it!
DeleteThat looks delicious. The fruit blend sounds great... I usually stick to the basics of strawberry, banana, blueberries but I'm gonna have to try other fruits too. I love the pictures of the smoothies being served in mason jars with twine. So creative!
ReplyDeleteThanks Laura! Yes you will have to try juicing some time and let us know how it goes next time! :)
DeleteThanks Marlen! We are flattered. We hope you will try out our recipe and let us know what you think. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat smoothies! I have gotten into juicing and dancing on the line between juice and smoothie. I hear the health effects of coconut oil in moderation are incredible.
