We thought we might write a small book review on one of our recent reads over Christmas break. We've been following Oh Joy's Blog for the past few years. And her blog is one of our favorites to follow. We've enjoyed reading her posts on food, fashion, design, and lifestyle. We have always felt that her posts are down-to-earth and real as well as current with trends. That's why we were excited to see she had written a book called Blog, Inc.: Blogging for Passion, Profit, and to Create Community. What a great opportunity to get advice from one of the best in the industry!

This book encourages you to find your 'unique voice' and to blog about it. Before now, we had what Joy Cho would call, "multiple-blog disorder," to where we had a few blogs going at the same time and not enough energy to dedicate our full attention to any of them. We have now fine-tuned that passion to one blog together. The book goes over how a blog works, getting it started, and ways to market your blog. Blog, Inc. also helps you to strategize a plan before starting, and helps know what to expect once your plan is in action.

If you have a blog or are thinking about starting one, we highly encourage reading this. This book was our motivation to start a blog in the new year. It is encouraging, informative, and has several interviews with well-known bloggers and their story of how they got their start. It was also easy to read; Joy Cho does a great job of taking complicated web language and simplifying this into everyday language. Read this book!
