Five Favs of 2013: Designed Quotes by Marilyn

As we are nearing the end of 2013, Kaleb and I wanted to highlight some of our favorite posts from the year. We will be sharing what we call our "Five Favs of 2013" in every topic we have chosen to focus for the year. To start it all off, we shared our first post on our five favorite recipes last week. Monday we shared our five favorite DIY projects, Tuesday we shared five favorite floral photography shoots, Wednesday we shared our five favorite fashion shoots for the year. To continue with our streak of favorites, we wanted to share five of our favorite designed quotes for this year. We hope you will find inspiration in each of these quotes for the holidays and for the upcoming new year. What kind of goals will you be setting for the new year?
Steve Jobs said it and we love it. "Deciding what not to do is a as important as what to do." Sometimes you must cut some good things out of your life in order to make room for the great things you deserve.

This quote always gets me and it's one of my favorites. "Don't let your dreams be dreams" by Jack Johnson is one of our inspirational quotes for the year. No matter what it is in life you hope to achieve, you will always have the power to decide whether it will be a dream or a reality.

"A positive attitude may not solve every problem, but it makes solving any problem a more pleasant experience." Consider this quote by Grant Fairley especially over the holiday season. Most of us love sharing the holidays with family and loved ones, but with that may come disagreements and events that don't leave us feeling the best. Remember to stay positive even through the hard times. You will set an example for others and help the situation to be more pleasant.
"For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven." This scripture from Ecclesiastes could not resonate more true in our hearts. Sometimes events we desire don't happen in our timing. And it's good to understand that every event and situation has its time and place. While it may seem undesirable at the time, we believe things always work out for a reason in the end.

"Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier." You know Mother Teresa knew better than anyone what the right thing to do is. Remember this quote this season and spread your love and positivity for others, even when it's hard. Do it! You may even start a chain of random acts of kindness for others by showing one person love.
