Intelligentsia in L.A. by Kaleb

On our visit to L.A. we had the privilege to experience two Intelligentsia Coffee locations in Venice and Silverlake. Both of these locations were great and even exceeded my expectations. Great coffee, great atmosphere, and buzzing with caffeine deprived espresso junkies like myself. :) Everyone at both locations seemed to be friendly locals who are educated and passionate about coffee. And that was the thing that all of us had in common. We are all passionate about good coffee. We had a great experience at both locations. The baristas where very friendly and carried on conversation while they made our drinks. We even received our drinks for free for having to wait longer than expected at the Venice location.



If you are visiting L.A. or any other city with a Intelligentsia in it, I highly recommend visiting and getting some coffee 'to go.' I grabbed a pound of coffee to take home...and shared a french press with the guys in my office once we returned to Oklahoma. We were all blown away by how smooth and amazing the press was. Also if you are a coffee lover and geek out on new ways of brewing your morning cup or would simply like to learn how, I would recommend downloading the Intelligentsia App. It has several features that have come in handy over the past few weeks. A couple of my favorite features about the app include the timer (depending on what method of brewing that you are trying) and the illustrations. Im a sucker for simple and charming, hand-rendered sketches.
