Moments with Fall Fashion by Marilyn

Fall is my favorite season. I simply cannot get enough of the leaves and the bright colors, shapes, and sizes they come in. If I could bag up leaves and preserve them for when I needed a 'pick-me-up,' I totally would. I'd probably disperse them throughout our home so that I could just lay in them whenever I wanted to forget about all the stresses of life. Life may tend to become much more stressful around the holidays with money, transitions at work, family, etc. 

I understand that not everyone is quite as fond of fall and leaves as I am. But I must say that no matter how old you are, you are never too old to go jump in a pile of leaves and not have a care in the world! If you are feeling any stresses about those 5 casseroles and 3 deserts you promised to bake for multiple Thanksgivings you will be celebrating, no worries! Just relieve the pressure before you bake by going outside, raking a big pile of leaves, and jumping in!

(More about the area we took these photos: we have a local park here with some of the oldest and most lovely trees in the world. In the fall, the leaves on a single tree can be every color. The bark is always this lovely white texture that peels back to reveal other beautiful colors in layers. When I need to relax, I love going for a walk and admiring how grand and wise these trees are. I just feel better when I am around them. Sometimes I sit on a bench under these trees and get out my stresses by thinking them through and doing some devotions. You may have a similar spot that you can relate this to. Be sure to make time for yourself over or before the holidays and visit that spot).
